The Certified Nursing Assistant is responsible for providing care in accordance with Family First Homecare (FFHC) and Universal Pediatrics policy, Aide Practice Acts, and State/Local/Federal regulations. Additional responsibilities include representing Family First Homecare + Universal Pediatrics and its services in a competent, professional, and responsive manner while maintaining standards of high-quality patient care and customer service in accordance with all state, local and federal requirements, rules, and regulations. Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Certified Nursing Aide (CNA) with a State issued certification
  • 1 year of demonstrated experience
  • Must provide v alid and current CPR card/certificate that includes in person instructor led hands - on skills check.
  • Valid driver license with proof of insurance in applicable states
  • Must have a clear background screening
  • Clear Hep B Screening in applicable states
  • Clear TB Screening in applicable states
  • The ability to read and communicate in English both verbally and in writing

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for providing care that is based on licensure/certification within the scope of practice
  • Provides care in compliance with the patient’s established Plan of Care such as:
  • Helps to maintain optimal hygiene and assists in maintaining a safe environment
  • May plan and prepare nutritious meals
  • Assists the patient with ambulation as tolerated
  • Encourage patient independence
  • Performs routine housekeeping tasks
  • Reports any change in the patients mental or physical condition to the Clinical Manger or Director of Nursing
  • Maintains an updated clinical record on each patient at all times , meeting required deadlines for documentation
  • Communicates with caregivers as needed for continuity of patient care
  • Participates in FFHC Quality Assurance, Performance Improvement program (QAPI) as requested
  • Continually strives to improve his/her skills
  • Attends and/or completes all mandatory training/ in-services as assigned
  • Submits required personnel file documentation in a timely manner
  • Adheres to FFHC compliance and ethics expectations
  • Maintains patient and family confidentiality
  • Maintains professional, supportive, and responsive interpersonal communication skills
  • Performs other duties as assigned
