About The Position

Adelphi is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide nursing services for a school in St. Lucie, Florida. The ideal candidate will work closely with the school administration to provide services to students for the exceptional student department, in accordance with established guidelines and standards of practice. Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Must hold a valid and active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of Florida, as recognized by the Florida Board of Nursing.
• Must maintain up -to -date First Aid and CPR certification (typically American Heart Association or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Student Health Monitoring & Support: Assist with routine health screenings (e.g., vision, hearing, height/weight) and monitor student health concerns throughout the school day.
• Provide first -aid, emergency care, and health support as needed for students, including responding appropriately to injuries or sudden health issues.
• Perform health care tasks under the direction of a licensed health professional, including special procedures for medically fragile students.
• Maintain accurate student health records, including medication logs, screenings, and referrals, to comply with district and state requirements.
• Communicate health concerns and care needs with parents, school nurses, medical professionals, and staff to promote student well -being.
• Assist school nurses and health professionals with medication administration, basic care support, and daily health -room operations.
• Any other duties as assigned.
