About The Position

Optimal Hospice is searching for a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the Parker/Castle Rock area to join our team! The CNA will travel from patient’s home or placement to provide care. Requirements

  • Certified Nursing Assistant license
  • 1+ years of experience
  • Completed a state-approved nurse aide training program
  • CPR certification

  • Hospice experience (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care to patients including: baths/showers, oral hygiene, grooming etc.
  • Work as a member of the hospice team to meet each patient’s unique physical, emotional and spiritual needs.
  • Help patients approach their final days with joy, peace and dignity.
  • Enhance the quality of someone’s life every day.
  • Provides patients with personal care as designated in the plan of care; understands Colorado law related to the supervision and delegation process from RN to CNA.
  • Understands general physical symptoms as they relate to end of life and understands non-medical interventions.
  • Performs transferring and positioning utilizing appropriate equipment per standards of practice and with patient safety as priority; understands good body mechanics and use of safety and transfer devices to prevent injury to self and patient.
  • Incorporates patient/family preferences and goals within the plan of care.
  • Supports and respects the patient’s and family’s unique diversity, including spiritual and cultural beliefs.
