About The Position

Under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse assigned, performs a variety of direct patient care activities in caring for the personal needs and comforts of the patient. Position: Certified Nursing Assistant Department: Geri Psych - Seton 7 West Schedule: 32 Hours, Days/Evenings with every other weekend and holiday

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Previous experience strongly preferred
  • Must possess a valid Massachusetts Certified Nursing Assistant license or show proof of enrollment in accredited nursing school and completion of the courses "Fundamentals of Nursing I & II."
  • Current BLS certification required.
  • Mandatory De-escalation Education within 30 days of hire.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology is required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English with staff and patients is required.
  • Must be able to prioritize multiple requests to ensure timeliness and provide exceptional patient care.
  • Must possess the skills to be compassionate, empathetic and responsive to the needs of a variety of patients.
  • Computer experience is preferred.

  • Provides care that addresses the specific needs of age groups from infant to elderly as well as accommodating a variety of needs specific to impairments such as hearing, sight, substance abuse, language barriers, and potential victims of abuse.
