PRN Certified Nursing Assistant - Night Shift
About The Position
Advanced Houston Specialty Hospital is looking for Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) for PRN night shifts to join our team of health care professionals in a newly renovated facility at 205 Hollow Tree Lane, Spring, TX. Join our team and help us provide top-tier medical services to a justice involved population! As a CNA, you would be responsible to provide essential patient care in the facility including assisting licensed nursing staff in delivering high-quality healthcare services while ensuring compliance with medical and security protocols. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a secure and structured environment. It is expected that the incumbent shall perform other duties as assigned within his/her capabilities as determined by management.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited senior high school or equivalent or GED.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of Texas.
- Minimum of one year of experience working as a CNA in a healthcare setting.
- CPR/BLS certification required.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management.
- Must successfully complete annual requirements to include maintaining licenses, certifications, and passing an annual background check.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily living activities, including hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
- Provide support to nursing staff by preparing patients for medical examinations and procedures.
- Take and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Monitor patients for signs of distress or changes in condition and report concerns to nursing staff.
- Perform assignments necessary for the operation of the department as delegated by the licensed nurse.
- Assist with basic wound care, infection control, and specimen collection under the direction of a licensed nurse.
- Collaborate with security and medical staff to ensure the safety and security of patients and personnel.
- Regular and predictable attendance required.
