UNHS will be hiring (5) Full-time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). Location: Montezuma Creek, Utah

Requirements

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Must successfully pass a criminal background check.
  • Must receive annual inoculation of flu vaccine.
  • Must receive or have received all CDC recommended vaccines for healthcare workers.
  • Completion of a CNA program with Certification.
  • One to two years’ experience as a CNA.
  • Knowledge of Electronic Medical Records is a must.
  • MMR (Measles Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella): Documentation of two MMR vaccines (OR) Documentation of MMR titers.
  • Complete Hepatitis B vaccine series (3 doses), documented proof of titers indicating immunity, or a declination that may be signed upon arrival.
  • Proof of up-to-date PPD skin testing, if previously negative (OR) Proof of positive PPD skin test with the most recent chest x-ray and treatment history.
  • Tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis (Tdap).
  • Varicella titers, history of varicella or varicella immunization series.
  • Influenza vaccine for the current year.
  • COVID-19 vaccine
  • Any other vaccinations as requested.

Responsibilities

  • Interviews patients and documents a basic medical history.
  • Measures vital signs, such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height. Records this information into the patients charts. Reports any abnormal findings to the medical provider seeing said patient.
  • Provides administrative support to medical providers and nurses to ensure effective operation of UNHS. You will support medical providers and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care, management, organization, education, and communication.
  • Prepare, clean, and stock treatment rooms and medical instruments as per UNHS policy to ensure that rooms and equipment are ready for the patient upon their arrival.
  • Assist providers, nursing staff, and lab staff with procedures and examinations when needed within the clinic to ensure proper care of patients. This can include but is not limited to referrals, vaccination, lab collection, and follow up care items as ordered by UNHS providers.
  • Ensure proper documentation of all patient related items into UNHS electronic medical records. All abnormal findings must be reports to medical personal in a timely manner and documented in the EMR that said report occurred.
