About The Position
Adventist Health Lodi Memorial, a leading healthcare provider in San Joaquin County since 1952, operates a 190-bed hospital, 17 medical offices, home care services, and comprehensive cancer care throughout Lodi and surrounding areas. The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides personal nursing care to patients under the direction of a licensed registered nurse (RN). This role involves performing tasks related to activities of daily living, including self-care needs, routine assigned tasks, and reporting patient status and concerns to the RN.
Requirements
- Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) Health Care Provider certification
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
Nice To Haves
- High School Education/GED or equivalent
- Phlebotomy Certification: Preferred in CA and HI
- Audiometry and vision training or have a certificate from CHDP: Preferred in CA and HI
Responsibilities
- Performs tasks associated with activities of daily living, including assisting with nutrition and hydration, elimination, personal care, positioning devices, restraints and restorative care.
- Takes vital signs including, pulse and blood pressure.
- Helps patients with their basic needs, i.e., bathing, dressing and feeding.
- Performs a variety clerical duties, which include but are not limited to routing patient reports as appropriate.
- Uses organizational skills to keep unit running smoothly and uses prioritization skills to meet deadlines as indicated.
- Provides assessment data to certified nurse within the scope of practice (vital signs, patient verbal and nonverbal responses, etc.).
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
