About The Position
Tidewell Hospice, a member of Empath Health in beautiful Southwest Florida, is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to care for patients. Monday-Friday, 8a-5p; Port Charlotte/Punta Gorda/Venice/Englewood coverage area In addition to our recent enhancements to the base compensation package for our FT Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), we are pleased to offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes 29 days of paid time off (PTO) per year. Under the direction of the Registered Nurse, the CNA provides personal and basic medical care services within the plan of care for patients within the CNA scope of practice and to enhance patient and family comfort.
Requirements
- Applicants must have Florida State Certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant
- Current CPR certification required
- One year of recent experience in hospice, home health or acute-care setting is preferred
- Participation in the seasonal influenza program is a condition of employment and a requirement for all Empath Health employees.

Responsibilities
- Overall care of the patient, from basic personal care like taking vital signs and bathing to household tasks that assist the primary caregiver.
- Educating the patient and primary caregiver about personal care, patient positioning and daily living.
