As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at William Penn Care Center, you will play a vital role in delivering hands-on resident care while working alongside an experienced nursing team committed to your success.

Requirements

  • Active Pennsylvania CNA certification required
  • Compassionate, reliable, and team-oriented
  • Ability to communicate effectively and follow care plans
  • Must possess a GED or High school Diploma
  • Must be licensed Certified Nursing Assistant in accordance with the laws of this state.
  • Must have effective oral and written communication skills
  • Must meet all local health regulations and criminal background checks, post-offer drug test, and post-offer physical exam, if required
  • Must maintain all required licenses, certifications, and continuing education requirements
  • Must be able to obtain and record vital signs manually and electronically
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
  • Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age-related needs of the residents served.
  • Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such actions.
  • Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public
  • Must be able to follow written and oral instructions
  • Must not pose a threat to the health or safety of their individuals in the workplace
  • Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday
  • Must be able to function independently and have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with other
  • Must be willing to perform tasks that may involve exposure to the blood and/or body fluids
  • Must be willing to assist in the evacuation of residents during emergency situations

Nice To Haves

  • Long-term care experience preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility)
  • Support residents with meals, hydration, and comfort
  • Observe and report changes in resident condition to nursing staff
  • Promote resident dignity, safety, and independence
  • Complete accurate documentation per facility policy
  • Be a supportive team member, contribute to and be an example of team work and the team concept
  • Perform any and all other job duties assigned to you by supervisor
