Assistance with performing activities of daily living that an individual would typically perform if her/she did not have a disability, and that is not otherwise required as a reasonable accommodation, including, but not limited to, assistance with removing and putting on clothing, eating, and using the restroom. Such services do not include medical care. PAS is not the same as services that help perform job-related tasks, such as sign language interpreters for employees who are deaf or readers for employees who are blind or have learning disabilities. The selected candidate shall be able to provide a broad range of responsibilities and job duties. The non-medical care services shall include, but are not limited to the following: Helping the employee to eat and drink liquids Helping the employee to use the restroom Taking off and putting on the employee's clothing items Warming the employee's food Carrying the employee's belongings to and from a car/public transportation and office Accompanying the employee while on business travel to provide the personal assistance services required by the employee (including, but not limited to, bathing, dressing, eating/drinking, arranging for transportation to and from the meeting sites, etc.) Providing personal assistance services to the employee (including those identified above, as applicable) at home during telework hours The work schedule will closely mirror the schedule of the employee or employees. Workdays are Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays. Overtime (more than 40 hours in a week) may be authorized in advance only by Contracting Officer or designated Contracting Officer's Representative. The successful candidate will support the client at his office (located in DC) and occasionally at his home in Arlington, VA.
