About The Position

Requirements

  • Current and valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification recognized by the state of Texas or applicable state.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of a state-approved CNA training program.
  • Basic knowledge of patient care techniques and safety procedures.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening as required by the employer.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience working as a CNA in a hospital, nursing home, or long-term care facility.
  • CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and experience working with diverse patient populations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.
  • Monitor and record patients' vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure, and report any abnormalities to nursing staff.
  • Provide mobility assistance, including helping patients move safely within their environment and supporting rehabilitation exercises as directed.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients by following infection control protocols and hospital policies.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure coordinated and compassionate care.
