About The Position

Hospice of the Piedmont is seeking a CNA to join our stellar team of compassionate healthcare professionals. This role will primarily be covering Nelson County. Company hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30-5:00. In this role you will provide a wide range of responsibilities to ensure the well-being and comfort of patients.

Requirements

Registered by the Virginia Department of Health Professions as a Certified Nursing Assistant
One year of relevant experience required
Driver’s license, personal automobile, and current automobile liability insurance
Self-motivation
Time management
Ability to build trust and rapport with patients and families
Ability to function in stressful situations
Basic computer skills

Responsibilities

Personal Care: Assisting with hygiene, toileting, mobility, and meal preparation.
Health Monitoring: Measuring and recording fluid intake/output, and reporting changes to the nurse supervisor.
Documentation: Maintaining electronic medical records (EMR) and documenting services provided.
Housekeeping: Performing light housekeeping duties in the patient area.
Patient Environment: Maintain a clean, safe, and pleasant environment while following infection control principles.
Professional Development: Maintaining competency and registration.
