About The Position

Waverly Heights is seeking weekend Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to provide compassionate care and support to residents. Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Helping with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to promote hygiene and comfort
  • Assisting residents with walking, transferring, and positioning to help maintain mobility and independence
  • Assisting residents at meals with eating and drinking, ensuring they are following their dietary requirements
  • Regularly measuring and recording vital signs including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration, and promptly reporting any concerns to the nursing team
  • Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of resident's care, observations, and changes in condition
  • Providing emotional support and companionship to residents, promoting social engagement and a sense of belonging
  • Ensuring a safe environment by keeping resident areas free from hazards and following infection control protocols
  • Positively interacting with resident families and promptly addressing any concerns
  • Continuing to learn and improve knowledge and skills by staying updated with training and certifications
  • Advocating for residents to ensure their needs are communicated and addressed with the care team
  • Following all guidelines related to confidentiality and HIPAA
  • Performing other duties to support the effective operations of the healthcare department
