About The Position

The Certified Nursing Assistant will be certified to manage the patient flow throughout the clinic and assist providers in the management and treatment of their patients throughout all phases of a woman’s life. There are 2 full-time positions working M-F between the hours of 8:00 am - 5:00 pm in Plymouth location. Haugen OB/GYN is an operating division of Infinite Health Collaborative (i-Health), a group of local medical practices, owned and led by its physicians, on a mission to give patients more control over their healthcare.

Requirements

  • High School graduate or equivalent required
  • Successful completion of the state of MN administered Nursing Assistant certification exam OR active registry as a Nursing Assistant in the state of MN
  • Phlebotomy certification required
  • Ability to: Comply with company policies, procedures, practices, and business ethics guidelines.
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations, (e.g. HIPAA, Stark, OSHA, employment laws, etc.)
  • Demonstrate prompt and reliable attendance.
  • Work at an efficient and productive pace, handle interruptions appropriately, and meet deadlines.
  • Prioritize workload effectively.
  • Communicate respectfully and professionally in face-to-face, phone and email interactions.
  • Apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Responsibilities

  • Verifies patient information by interviewing patient, recording medical history, confirming purpose of visit.
  • Measure vital signs, including weight, blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and document all information in patient’s chart. (all indicated)
  • Obtains blood specimens by performing venipunctures and finger sticks.
  • Performs in-house testing including UA, Hemoglobin, 1-hour glucose, and, 3-hour glucose.
  • Assist physician and physician assistant in exam rooms as needed.
  • Give instructions to patients as instructed by physician or nurse practitioner.
  • Keep exam rooms stocked with adequate medical supplies, maintain instruments, prepare sterilization as required.
  • Any and all other duties as assigned.
