About The Position

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of an accredited CNA Program.
• Current certification as a CNA in the State of Illinois, active/good standing.
• Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.
• One year experience in hospital setting required, pediatrics strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Help to warmly welcome families to the ambulatory clinic area.
• Assist with taking and documenting vital signs, documentation of medical information, point of care testing, medical procedures, and intra hospital transport.
• Ensure that patients and their families are safe and comfortable.
• Help nursing staff ensure that all medical equipment is stocked and in clean, working condition.
• Dispose of medical waste properly, keep rooms neat and tidy, and make patient rounds in a timely manner.
