Certified Nursing Assistant - MedSurg-PRN
About The Position
Holdenville General Hospital is searching for a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) who is dedicated to providing exceptional, compassionate care to our patients. Position Summary: The CNA provides direct patient care under the supervision of the Registered Nurse (RN) and Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the Med/Surg Department. This position assists with daily living activities, maintains a safe and clean environment, and ensures patients receive respectful, attentive, and quality care.
Requirements
- Current Oklahoma CNA certification required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)
- Must be able to pass a background check and complete a pre-employment drug test with a negative result.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and time management skills
- Compassionate, dependable, and committed to quality patient care
Nice To Haves
- Previous hospital or Med/Surg experience preferred, but not required
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including bathing, grooming, feeding, and mobility assistance
- Obtain and record vital signs, intake/output, and other observations as directed
- Assist nursing staff with patient admissions, discharges, and transfers
- Maintain patient comfort and safety at all times
- Respond promptly to call lights and patient needs
- Ensure proper documentation in the medical record
- Follow infection control and hospital safety procedures
- Support the nursing team and contribute to a positive, team-oriented work environment
