About The Position

Under the direction of the Nurse Manager or Director, this position delivers skilled, age-appropriate patient care as part of a collaborative, interdisciplinary healthcare team. Working under the general supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) supports daily patient care activities that promote comfort, safety, and positive clinical outcomes. Key responsibilities include providing direct patient care, monitoring and recording vital signs, assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), performing assigned clinical procedures, and completing additional tasks as requested to support patient care delivery. The CNA serves as an important communication link by observing, identifying, and promptly reporting changes in patient condition to the supervising nurse or physician. Accurate, timely documentation of all patient interactions and care provided is completed in the medical record in accordance with organizational standards. Through professionalism, compassion, and strong teamwork, this role plays a vital part in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care across diverse populations. Hourly Pay Rate: $16.87 - $24.88

Requirements

  • Requires licensure through the AZ Board of Nursing as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
  • Requires BLS card obtained through an approved American Heart Association (AHA) training center upon hire.
  • Must have the ability to work with culturally diverse people.
  • Requires excellent communication, time management, and leadership skills.
  • Requires the ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English.

Nice To Haves

  • Prefer a high school diploma or GED.
  • Prefers at least one (1) year of relevant nursing assistant or healthcare-related experience.
  • Must successfully complete approved Valleywise Health computer classes.
  • Bilingual is preferred.
