About The Position

Certified Nursing Assistant - Day Surgery at Providence Medford Medical Center is 1.0 FTE full time position working during weekdays and weekends on a day shift. The CNA 2/HUC is a key person within the decentralized nursing unit, who provides overall administrative and technical support in the operation of the unit; collaborates with other staff and leaders in the development, oversight, and operation of the unit; and performs CNA II patient care duties. Requirements

  • Coursework/Training: Health Unit Coordinator or secretarial coursework along with a medical terminology course or experience, or Health Unit Coordinator: 1 year experience performing secretarial duties in a health care environment.
  • Coursework/Training: Completion of Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN) recognized Acute Care CNA 2 course, or CNA 2 coursework: Grandfathered to CNA 2 per OSBN requirements.
  • Upon hire: Oregon Nursing Assistant Certification License
  • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
  • Experience with a variety of software applications.

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year acute care hospital experience, ideally performing CNA and/or Health Unit Coordinator duties.
  • 1 year experience as a CNA 2.
