About The Position

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) position at The Garden's Rehab & Care Center is a full-time role dedicated to providing exceptional care to residents. The CNA will assist with daily living activities, promote well-being, and support the medical team in delivering quality healthcare. This role is crucial in enhancing the residents' quality of life and ensuring a collaborative and supportive environment for both residents and staff.

Requirements

  • High School degree or equivalent (GED) preferred.
  • Completion of a state-approved CNA education and training program.
  • CNA certification is required.
  • CPR certification must be obtained and maintained.
  • DPS Fingerprint Clearance Card is required.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.
  • High level of patience, empathy, and passion in interactions with residents.
  • Strong observation and communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills for record-keeping.
  • Ability to handle physical and mental challenges, including lifting 100+ pounds and standing for long hours.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
  • Additional certifications in healthcare or related fields.

Responsibilities

  • Enhance the dining experience by serving meals and assisting residents with eating and drinking.
  • Assist residents with bathing, grooming, and dressing to promote well-being and dignity.
  • Reposition and turn bedridden residents, and assist those who require help in walking or wheelchair transport.
  • Maintain a clean and hygienic environment, ensuring rooms are sterile and managing bedding and bedpans.
  • Record vital signs, eating habits, and bodily functions, reporting any changes to the medical team promptly.
  • Transport medical equipment as per patient requirements to ensure seamless healthcare delivery.
  • Adhere to scheduled work hours, providing consistency for residents and the team.
  • Manage workload effectively in a dynamic environment, often taking independent actions.
  • Communicate excellently with residents and families, prioritizing customer service.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative atmosphere with the team, maintaining a calm working environment.
  • Provide 'on-call' support to nursing staff as per the schedule determined by the administrator.
