Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) | Long Term Care | Position Details Provides direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Provides patient hygiene, comfort measures, mobilization and transportation, and contributes to patient assessment. Participates in the care of adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients. As experience dictates, the nursing assistant may also participate in the care of infants and pediatrics. Performs patient care including baths, oral hygiene, and comfort measures including backrubs, skin and hair care, dressing, turning and positioning. Assists with meals and oral fluids. Charts patient care given and patient data collected, according to guidelines. Cleans and restocks areas/equipment as designated.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent and Registered Nursing Assistant by the State of Minnesota (previous experience not required).
  • Ability to learn how to operate patient care equipment safely and effectively.
  • Communicate effectively in English, verbally and in writing.
  • Good interpersonal skills, positive attitude, and team-player mentality.
  • Pass a background study through the Minnesota Department of Human Services.
