With a staffing ratio of 10 residents to 2 Certified Nurse Assistants (CNA's), personalized care is ensured. As a CNA at Mary's Meadow, you will play a crucial role in delivering holistic and resident-centered care. Reporting to the licensed NH Administrator and working under the guidance of a licensed nurse, your primary responsibilities will include:
Requirements
- Maintain a Certified Nurse Assistant (C.N.A.) certification as required by the State of Massachusetts.
- Receive training in safe food handling techniques, CPR, First Aid, and Dementia Care.
- Showcase your culinary skills for meal preparation.
Responsibilities
- Listening to reports and obtaining assignments at the start of your shift to understand each resident's current care plans.
- Providing personalized care, including assistance with daily living activities like bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility.
- Participating in collaborative care planning meetings with the clinical support team to create resident-centered care plans.
- Observing residents closely and promptly reporting any changes or reactions to the nurse.
- Documenting care accurately in our electronic medical record system.
- Preparing and serving meals, snacks, and cleaning up afterward, ensuring the preferences of each elder are met.
- Assisting with laundry and maintaining a clean and welcoming home environment.
- Communicating effectively with co-workers to meet the needs of our elders and ensuring their safety and engagement.
- Attending team meetings and actively contributing to discussions.
- Reporting accidents and incidents, following safety protocols, and maintaining a hazard-free environment.
- Actively participating in educational programs and maintaining required certifications.
