About The Position

The Night Shift CNA is a trained, dependable, and compassionate caregiver who assists residents with personal needs, comfort, and daily living activities under the supervision of nursing staff. This position is primarily based in the nursing home but requires cross‑training and the ability to float to the hospital when needed. The shift runs from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Active Illinois CNA certification.
Current CPR certification.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Ability to analyze and solve problems effectively.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to perform all essential job functions

Responsibilities

Assist professional nursing staff in delivering high‑quality resident care.
Provide direct care as directed by an RN or LPN while maintaining resident comfort and safety.
Follow all departmental policies, safety procedures, environmental standards, and infection control guidelines.
Uphold resident dignity, respect, and privacy at all times.
Perform procedures and tasks as instructed by nursing staff.
Protect confidential patient information in compliance with HIPAA.
Maintain a safe and clean environment within the nursing home.
Participate in required training and continuing education.
