Requirements
- Current CNA certification
- Compassionate communication with coworkers and residents
- Willingness to learn and follow long-term care regulations
Responsibilities
- Answer residents' call lights to determine needs
- Turn and reposition residents while in bed
- Provide physical support to assist residents with daily living activities such as getting in/out of bed, bathing, eating, dressing, toileting, standing, walking, or exercising
- Review dietary restrictions, allergies, and preferences to ensure proper diets are followed
- Record food and fluid intake/output as necessary
- Report changes in resident condition promptly to nursing staff
- Build relationships with residents to ensure their stay is comfortable and dignified
