PRN Float Pool Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
About The Position
Newport News, Virginia Riverside Health is currently hiring for a PRN Certified Nursing Assistant to join our Lifelong Health Float Pool team! This position will work at least 8 shifts per 4-week schedule, with at least 2 of these shifts being on weekends. This role will work between two Riverside Lifelong Heath facilities based in Newport News and closely surrounding areas. This role offers flexibility and pay rates starting at $28.00 per hour! Overview Works under the supervision of Nursing Manager, Supervisor, RN, LPN and is ultimately responsible to the Director and the Assistant Director of Nursing, as applicable. The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) performs tasks essential to the direct care of the resident according to facility policy and procedures supporting more than one facility at Riverside Lifelong Health Senior Living facilities. What you will do Allows resident choices within limits of capability considering safety /dignity issues and follows policies and procedures of facility to include resident privacy and dignity. Assists with ensuring hygiene, appearance, safety and nutritional needs of residents are met. Provides resident care and services to maintain or improve resident functional status to highest practical ability. Documents accurately in EMR resident's ADL care, personal hygiene, bowel and bladder habits, and behaviors. Follows universal precautions, proper infection control, sanitation and safety standards of practice in all work and activities.
Requirements
- 6 Months Long Term Care/ Assisted Living Experience (Required)
- Certified Nurse Aid (CNA) - Virginia Department of Health Professions (VDHP) Upon Hire(Required)
- CPR/BLS Certification - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) within 30 Days(Required)
- First Aid - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) within 30 Days(Required)
- Weekend Shifts
- Irregular Shifts
- Work/Float in more than one work location
Nice To Haves
