About The Position

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to support students with low-incidence disabilities in a classroom setting. This role involves working under the direction of the classroom teacher and IEP team to ensure students have consistent access to instruction and a supportive learning environment.

Requirements

• Active CNA certification (required).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to provide compassionate, student-centered care.
• Comfortable assisting with personal care needs in a school setting.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with children with low-incidence disabilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide consistent access to instruction using the student’s preferred mode of communication (auditory, visual, or tactile).
• Support concept development and promote active learning engagement.
• Assist in the development of receptive and expressive communication skills.
• Foster social and emotional growth by building trusting, interactive relationships.
• Encourage peer interaction and participation in classroom and school activities.
• Provide physical assistance as needed, including lifting, toileting, feeding, and hygiene support.
• Collaborate with teachers and IEP team members to communicate student progress and implement modifications.
