About The Position

Certified Nursing Assistant wanted for the Walton County Jail located in Monroe, GA. Join the team to provide quality care to patients and assist in supporting the health and wellness of patients. Schedule: Monday - Friday, Days

Requirements

• Georgia unrestricted license
• 1 Year of CNA Experience
• Basic Life Support Certification (AHA or ARC)

Responsibilities

• Perform and record vital signs, height, weight, and other pertinent medical information i.e., allergies on medical record and in computer.
• Prepare patients for examination and assist physician or nurse practitioner with procedures.
• Provide instructions to patients undergoing tests/procedures.
• Refer all unexpected/abnormal physical findings or complaint by patient to physician, nurse practitioner, or registered nurse, according to accepted procedures.
• Assure cleanliness of patient clinical areas.
• Clean and sterilize medical supplies and equipment.
• Maintain medical information (health information, monthly bulletin boards in clinic, international travel information from approved travel resources).
• Assist with clerical/administrative duties as needed (greeting patients, answering telephones, entering computer data, preparing medical records).
• Support the wellness and health promotion programs as directed by the Project Manager/Clinic Administrator
• Other duties as assigned within your scope of practice
