Position Summary As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at Care Advantage, you are a valued member of the care team. Under the supervision of a Nurse Supervisor (RN/LPN), you will provide hands-on personal care and comfort services based on each client's individualized Plan of Care. CNAs may work in clients' homes or assigned healthcare facilities, delivering care that promotes independence, safety, and dignity. Requirements

  • Active CNA certification or completion of an approved Nurse Aide or Personal Care Aide training program
  • Ability to follow a Plan of Care and work under RN/LPN supervision
  • Reliable, compassionate, and professional approach to caregiving
  • Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
  • Flexibility to work in home care and/or facility settings
  • Ability to lift/move at least 20+ pounds
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, and assist with transfers
  • Reasonable accommodations available when appropriate

Nice To Haves

  • Home care or healthcare experience preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with bathing, grooming, oral care, skin care, and dressing
  • Provide toileting assistance, including use of bedpans, urinals, and catheter care as directed
  • Assist with mobility, transfers, ambulation, and positioning (including use of walkers, wheelchairs, and mechanical lifts such as Hoyer lifts)
  • Make beds and maintain a clean, safe client environment
  • Prepare and assist with meals in the home or facility setting
  • Encourage prescribed diets and assist with feeding as needed
  • Measure and record food and fluid intake/output when required
  • Take and record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respirations, height, and weight)
  • Assist with self-administration of medications by reminders or pill boxes (no medication administration)
  • Observe, document, and report changes or concerns in client condition promptly
  • Support clients in hospitals, nursing homes, rehab centers, or assisted living facilities
  • Assist with positioning, draping for exams, and pre/post-procedure care as directed
  • Remain with clients during procedures when required, assisting staff per supervisor direction
  • Accurately document care provided according to company policies
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, office staff, clients, and families
  • Maintain client confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations
