About The Position

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) plays a critical role in delivering high-quality care to residents. The CNA is responsible for assisting residents with daily living activities, providing comfort, and ensuring their physical and emotional well-being. This role requires a compassionate individual with strong interpersonal skills and a dedication to improving the lives of our residents.

Requirements

  • Certification: Current CNA certification in the state of Washington.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a similar role within a long-term care, assisted living, or adult family home setting is preferred.
  • Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, compassionate and patient-centered approach, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, moving, and assisting residents, as required.

  • Experience: Previous experience in a similar role within a long-term care, assisted living, or adult family home setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.
  • Vital Signs Monitoring: Take and record residents' vital signs such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rate.
  • Mobility Assistance: Aid residents in mobility and transferring, ensuring safety and comfort during movement.
  • Observation and Reporting: Monitor and document residents' health status and report any changes or concerns to the nursing staff or healthcare provider.
  • Emotional Support: Provide compassionate emotional support and companionship to residents, promoting a positive and nurturing environment.
  • Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with residents, family members, and healthcare team members.
  • Housekeeping: Assist with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment for residents.
  • Compliance: Adhere to all healthcare regulations, facility policies, and procedures to ensure the highest standards of care and safety.

Benefits

  • Full-time employees accrue up to 168 hours of PTO annually, in addition to sick time accrued at the rate of 1 hour for every 40 hours worked. Bereavement and jury duty leave are also available.

  • Ability to enroll in 401(k) and begin contributing at the time of hire. Heartlinks will match dollar for dollar up to 5% of earnings after one year of employment and 1080 hours worked.
