About The Position

Provide routine daily nursing care and services to assigned residents in accordance with each resident’s assessment, care plan, and supervisory direction. Requirements

  • Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification

Responsibilities

  • Correctly identify residents prior to treatments, meals, etc. using wristbands or photo cards.
  • Promptly report changes in residents’ conditions to the Nurse Supervisor/Charge Nurse.
  • Document care on flow sheets, notes, and charts in an informative, descriptive manner.
  • Immediately report any accidents or incidents observed during the shift.
  • Maintain confidentiality of residents’ protected health information; report suspected violations.
  • Perform only those nursing procedures for which you are trained and authorized.
  • Prepare rooms for new residents (bed made, name tags, admission kit ready).
  • Greet and escort residents to their rooms, introduce them to roommates and staff, ensure comfort.
  • Inventory personal possessions and assist residents with packing when transferring or discharging.
