About The Position

As a certified nursing assistant, you'll be an integral part of our dedicated team of medical professionals, providing comprehensive healthcare services to our community. Shift: 7 am - 7 pm In this role, you'll have the opportunity to: Support and adhere to our Nursing Service and administrative policies and procedures Perform patient care in accordance with policy and procedure Advocate for the individual patient and ensure they receive the highest level of care Treat patients and their families with respect, dignity, and confidentiality Communicate effectively with patients, families, and fellow team members Efficiently utilize manpower, equipment, and supplies Embrace temporary reassignments to different areas or work functions when necessary Maintain compliance with state and federal guidelines, rules, and regulations Handle stressful situations with composure and utilize available resources Accept delegated tasks within your scope of practice Respond promptly to patient call bell system and maintain a calm and courteous demeanor Document patient information accurately and appropriately Actively participate in continuous quality improvement activities Adhere to Yoakum Community Hospital policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook Perform any other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Current certification as a Nursing Assistant in the State of Texas
  • Current CPR certification
