About The Position

MVH - Caribou is currently seeking a full-Time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our evening shift team. Our facility provides long-term, skilled nursing care to Veterans, with a strong focus on dignity, respect, and quality of life. This is a great opportunity for a dependable, compassionate CNA who takes pride in serving those who served our country.

Requirements

• Must be active and in good standing on the Maine CNA registry
• Ability and willingness to work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers, staff, supervisors, residents and their families
• Must be able to work effectively both independently and in a team environment
• Requires proficiency in spoken and written English.
• Ability to understand and respond to residents’ needs and inquiries in English is required.
• Basic computer skills

Responsibilities

• Provide direct resident care, including assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility
• Support residents during evening routines, meals, and bedtime preparation
• Monitor residents’ physical and emotional well-being and promptly report changes to nursing staff
• Follow care plans, infection control protocols, and facility policies
• Work collaboratively with nurses and the interdisciplinary care team
