About The Position

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for a 13-week local contract in the Med/Surg Float Pool. The CNA will provide direct and indirect patient care in a Level 1 Trauma environment, supporting multiple units as needed. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong teamwork, adaptability, and a patient-centered approach.

Requirements

• Current New York State CNA certification
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum 1 year patient care experience
• Level 1 Trauma experience preferred
• Ability to pass pre-employment health clearance
• Two professional references from current/recent manager
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Nice To Haves

• Prior Med/Surg float pool experience
• Experience in large academic or trauma center settings

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care: vital signs, toileting, bathing, feeding, hygiene
• Assist with patient mobility and safe handling
• Serve as a safety companion for at-risk patients
• Document and communicate patient information accurately
• Respond to changes in patient condition and report appropriately
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members
• Maintain a safe and clean patient care environment
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives
• Uphold ethical standards and patient confidentiality
• Maintain positive relations with patients, families, and staff
