About The Position

Are you a CNA who has a passion for working with the elderly? Do you have experience in long-term care/assisted living settings? Are you a new CNA? We have a place for you at Grace Village Retirement Community! You will work alongside fellow caregivers to provide each of your assigned residents with routine daily nursing care and services in accordance with the resident’s assessment and care plan. As a CNA at Grace Village Retirement Community, you will: Participate in nursing reports and take detailed notes Help residents with personal hygiene activities, turning, lifting, and positioning them when needed Assist residents with daily dental and mouth care (i.e., brushing teeth/dentures, oral hygiene, special mouth care, etc.), with bath functions (i.e., bed, bathtub or shower bath, etc.) and with hair care functions (i.e., combing, brushing, shampooing, etc.) Change bed linens--Keep linens tight to avoid wrinkles from forming under the resident Assist resident with bowel and bladder functions (i.e., take to bathroom, offer bedpan/urinal, portable commode, etc.) Assist residents in preparing for activity and social programs

Requirements

  • Valid CNA certification in the state of Indiana
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Compassionate and patient demeanor
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
  • A desire to build meaningful relationships with residents through day-to-day interactions

Benefits

  • Set schedules.
  • Base pay from $17-$22 per hour.
  • Pay based on experience at $0.25/hour per year up to a maximum of $5.00/hour.
  • Weekend Diff of $1.00 on Saturdays and Sundays.
  • Refer a friend and receive a bonus up to $300 when they stay 90 days, conditions apply. Refer a nurse and receive a bonus up to $600 when they stay 90 days, conditions apply.
