Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
About The Position
The CNA works in a collaborative environment at Holy Cross Health within the Cardiac Intermediate Care Unit to deliver excellent patient care assistance under the supervision and direction of a designated health care professional in accordance with policies and procedures. This position is a great opportunity to work in an organization that focuses on treating the whole person physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Supports the mission of Trinity and Holy Cross Hospital. As delegated by a licensed nurse, performs essential duties appropriate to role while assisting with basic to complex patient care needs. Participates in direct one-to-one patient observation to maintain a safe and therapeutic environment. Assists delegated care team in keeping detailed records, clear communication and working with patients and families.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in high school, in process of completing GED or has obtained high school diploma or GED.
- Maryland CNA certification and BLS required
Responsibilities
- Assisting with basic to complex patient care needs.
- Participates in direct one-to-one patient observation to maintain a safe and therapeutic environment.
- Assists delegated care team in keeping detailed records, clear communication and working with patients and families.
