About The Position
Are you a Nursing Assistant who enjoys making a difference during the evening hours while working with a supportive, team-oriented care staff? For 130 years, Episcopal Homes of Minnesota has proudly served seniors in St. Paul’s Midway neighborhood. Our vibrant campus offers Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care, Skilled Nursing, and Home Care services, along with amenities such as a fitness center, pool, pub, theater, and gourmet dining. We are currently hiring a Nursing Assistant Registered (NAR) to join our Nursing team on the Evening Shift (2:30pm–10:30pm). As an NAR, you’ll provide essential hands-on care and support to residents in a compassionate, person-centered environment—playing a key role in their comfort, safety, and quality of life.
Requirements
- Registered Nursing Assistant listed on the Minnesota Registry
- Ability to speak, read, and write in English
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to resident dignity, rights, and compassionate care
Nice To Haves
- Experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or memory care
Responsibilities
- Assisting residents with activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Providing safe transfers using gait belts and mechanical lifts
- Monitoring and reporting changes in residents’ condition and behavior
- Assisting with meals, nourishments, and hydration
- Performing range of motion (PROM) exercises per care plans
- Responding promptly to call lights and resident needs
- Following infection control and safety procedures
- Maintaining a clean, safe environment for residents
- Documenting care and observations accurately
- Communicating effectively with residents, families, and care teams
- Participating in shift reports and team huddles
- Mentoring and supporting new team members as needed
- Contributing to a positive, person-centered work culture
