Perhaps you’re not a morning person or you prefer to have your mornings free – whether for school, appointments, or family time? If so, you’ll love our evening shift — a great fit for CNAs who prefer starting later in the day while still ending at a reasonable hour. Here’s what you’ll do: · Support overall resident well-being and safety. · Assist residents with mobility, personal care, and daily living tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating. · Assist with mobility exercises as instructed by the care plan. · Take and record vital signs, fluid intake, and output accurately. · Assist with evening routines such as dinner, bathing, and preparation for bedtime. · Provide reassurance, companionship, and emotional support to residents and families. · Document residents’ behaviors, mood changes, and any significant observations. · Monitor residents for safety, comfort, and medical needs (if applicable). · Ensure call lights are answered promptly. · Report any changes in residents’ conditions promptly to the Charge Nurse. · Follow infection control procedures, including proper use of PPE. · Observe and report safety hazards in the resident care areas. · Assist in emergency situations as directed by the Charge Nurse. · Ensure residents’ rooms and personal spaces are clean, safe, and comfortable. · Support licensed nurses (RNs/LPNs) in carrying out care procedures. · Assist with documentation and handoff reports to overnight shift staff. · Help train or mentor new CNAs or nursing assistants (if experienced). · Additional job duties as required.
