About The Position

At Hi-Desert Medical Center (HDMC) we've been caring for our community for over 40 years. Our Continuing Care Center (CCC), located on the campus of HDMC, provides specialized care to residents close to their own communities, with spectacular panoramic views of desert landscapes for both residents and their guests The Continuing Care Center has 120 beds and offers three distinct levels of service in semi-private rooms: Subacute care: This is the highest level of care available in our long-term care setting. The CCC provides 25 beds dedicated to residents with ventilator and tracheostomy requirements. Clinical staff is specially trained to meet the unique needs of these patients. The CCC is one of the few facilities in Southern California providing this level of care. Skilled nursing care: We provide long-term skilled nursing care to residents who require assistance with personal and medical needs. Care is provided to our patients who require rehabilitative therapies, wound care or recovery from accidents or invasive procedures. Long-Term Care: We provide long-term care to residents who require assistance with personal and medical needs. Position Summary / Specifications Provides basic nursing care to residents, under direct supervision. Shift : Days, 7:00am to 7:30pm and every other weekend is required. Hours :12 Sign on bonus $5,000 for qualified applicants Rate: $26 dollars per hour based on CA Healthcare Minimum Wage Laws

Requirements

• High School graduate
• Current CA CNA license
• CPR Certificate

Responsibilities

• Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality improvement program, safety, environmental and infection control standards. Conducts job duties in accordance with established hospital policy and safety/sanitation standards.
• Obtains and documents patient vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, SAO2, respiration pulse, pain and weight, and I&O’s.
• Provides personal care assistance to residents, including bathing, oral care, shaving, dressing, eating, bed pans, and transportation.
• Maintains resident documentation.
• Maintains confidentiality of resident and unit care data.
• Demonstrates sensitivity to resident comfort and privacy.
• Participates in educational programs and in-service meetings as requested. Attends continuing education courses related to area of specialization to remain current in the field.
