About The Position

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) — $5,000 Sign-On Bonus Huntsville Health Care Center – Huntsville, TX Care with heart. Grow with a team that supports you. We’re hiring compassionate, reliable CNAs to deliver high-quality, resident-centered care. You’ll partner with nurses and the interdisciplinary team to support comfort, safety, dignity, and great outcomes. What You’ll Do Personal care & ADLs: Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, peri-care, and incontinence care while preserving dignity and privacy. Mobility & safety: Support safe transfers/ambulation (gait belts/lifts), positioning and turning schedules, fall-prevention and elopement precautions. Nutrition & hydration: Set up meals, assist with feeding, follow texture-modified diets/thickened liquids, observe aspiration precautions, and document intake/output . Vitals & monitoring: Obtain and record vital signs and weights; promptly report changes in condition to the nurse. Medication support: Provide medication reminders only per care plan and policy (no administration unless separately credentialed). Infection control: Practice hand hygiene/PPE; clean and disinfect equipment and high-touch areas after use. Documentation & teamwork: Chart ADLs and observations in the EMR; respond quickly to call lights; communicate kindly with residents/families; collaborate during shift report and with therapy/other departments. Unit readiness: Light housekeeping (make beds, change linens, tidy rooms, stock supplies) to maintain a safe, organized environment. Other duties as assigned to support resident care. This summary isn’t exhaustive; duties may be adjusted to meet resident and operational needs.

Requirements

  • Active Texas CNA certification in good standing (required).
  • Compassionate, patient demeanor; clear, professional communication and teamwork.
  • Ability to follow individualized care plans and written/oral directions.
  • Able to stand/walk most of the shift and safely assist with lifts/transfers; reliable attendance.
  • Meets all pre-employment/health requirements (e.g., background, drug screen, TB/clearances).

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ year CNA experience in SNF/LTC preferred (new grads welcome).
