About The Position

Episcopal Homes of Minnesota has proudly served seniors for 130 years in St. Paul’s Midway neighborhood. Our vibrant campus offers Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care, Skilled Nursing, and Home Care services. Residents enjoy access to amenities including a fitness center, pool, pub, theater, and gourmet dining. We are currently hiring a CNA to join our Nursing team and provide comprehensive, person-centered care in a home-like environment that fosters dignity, autonomy, and quality of life for residents. Wage: $22.50-$24.50/hr. Schedule: Part-Time AM Shift 6:30am-2:30pm .6 FTE 45 hrs.

Requirements

  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) listed on the Minnesota Registry
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage and support elders respectfully
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
  • Commitment to preventing abuse and neglect while supporting elder dignity
  • Ability to follow established care plans and safety procedures

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in long-term care, assisted living, or skilled nursing settings
  • Knowledge of electronic medical records (EMR)

Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, oral hygiene, and toileting
  • Observe and respond to elders’ needs, promoting independence and decision-making
  • Maintain confidentiality and privacy of all elder care and documentation
  • Communicate effectively with coworkers and interdisciplinary teams to meet resident needs
  • Participate in Clinical Service Team (CST) meetings to discuss resident progress and needs
  • Document and report changes in health, behavior, eating habits, skin condition, and psychosocial status
  • Follow protocols for infection control, fire safety, disaster preparedness, and facility policies
  • Assist with safe transfers, positioning, and mobility support using appropriate equipment and techniques
  • Support restorative nursing and rehabilitation programs as outlined in care plans
  • Measure and document vital signs, weight, and height
  • Assist with meals, snacks, and fluids based on dietary plans and preferences
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization within the household, including resident rooms, shared spaces, and kitchen areas
  • Complete laundry tasks for residents including washing, drying, and folding
  • Follow safety protocols and report unsafe conditions or suspected abuse immediately
  • Participate in ongoing training and education to maintain compliance with state and federal regulations
