About The Position

Adventist HealthCare Home Assistance seeks to hire an experienced Certified Nursing Assistant for our Home Care Division who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing. As a Home Assistance CNA you will: • Assist care manager with rising patient care needs • Provides excellent personal care to patients to maximize satisfaction according to Aide Plan of Care. • Maintains safe environment while demonstrating initiative toward safety and risk management issues. • Ensures continuity of care across shifts and participates in discharge planning. • Collaborates with medical team and support staff to deliver quality care. • Completes patient care duties as assigned. • Documents information on patient records, hospital forms and logs per hospital standard. • Provides necessary instruction to patient. • Maintains role/specialty competencies, license and certifications. • Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients on assigned unit/department. • Participates in supply management and equipment maintenance processes. • Consults with professional staff on patient problems and is involved with long and short-term goals that are consistent with organization’s mission • Participates in orientation and evaluation of Patient Care Technicians.

Requirements

  • Current Maryland Board of Nursing Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
  • Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Active American Heart Association CPR certification required within 30 days of hire
  • Score of 80% or more on the CNA Skills Assessment Test and ability to pass skills lab testing.
  • Current driver’s license (if applicable).

Nice To Haves

  • CNAs with a year or more of experience after certification preferred
