In our Summit Care Center, you’ll deliver high-quality hands-on care and partner closely with nurses and an interdisciplinary team to support resident dignity, comfort, and safety. Requirements

  • Active Colorado Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
  • CPR/BLS certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
  • Ability to safely assist with transfers, mobility, and use of assistive devices.
  • A compassionate, respectful approach to care and a genuine enjoyment of working with seniors.
  • Strong observation, communication, and teamwork skills in a collaborative care environment.
  • Understanding of resident safety, infection prevention, and basic documentation practices.
  • Availability to work a schedule that may include weekends and holidays.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in long ‑ term care or supporting older adults, including those with dementia, is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate, person ‑ centered care that supports resident dignity, comfort, and independence, including assistance with ADLs such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, oral care, and feeding support.
  • Support resident comfort, mobility, and safety through timely response to call lights, repositioning, ambulation assistance, safe transfers, and use of approved assistive devices and equipment (Hoyer lift, sit ‑ to ‑ stand, Sara Stedy, gait belt).
  • Observe and communicate resident needs by recognizing early signs of health or behavioral changes and promptly sharing updates with nursing staff.
  • Provide dementia ‑ supportive care using appropriate communication, redirection, reassurance, and calm engagement while supporting familiar routines and meaningful daily activities.
  • Document and communicate care accurately by completing timely entries in PointClickCare (PCC), participating in shift report, and following infection ‑ prevention, safety, and mandatory reporting requirements in accordance with Colorado law and organizational policy.
