Certified Nursing Assistant CNA needed for Long term care
About The Position
We are currently seeking experienced and compassionate CNAs for flexible opportunities across acute and long-term care settings. These roles include placements in Emergency Float Pool environments as well as long-term care units, offering a dynamic and rewarding work experience. Scheduling options include 8-hour and 12-hour shifts, with full-time hours available. Evening, night, and weekend availability is required, including every other weekend based on facility needs. Candidates should be comfortable working with diverse patient populations such as trauma patients, memory care residents, and post-rehabilitation cases. This position requires a strong team player who thrives in fast-paced settings and is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.
Requirements
- Active New York State CNA certification
- BLS certification required
- Minimum of 1 year patient care experience
- Ability to pass pre-employment health clearance
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Nice To Haves
- Accurately document care using EMR systems (PointClickCare experience preferred)
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding
- Obtain and record vital signs and report changes in patient condition to nursing staff
- Provide support as a safety companion for at-risk patients when needed
- Deliver compassionate care to patients including those with dementia, MS, and orthopedic recovery needs
- Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive patient environment
- Accurately document care using EMR systems (PointClickCare experience preferred)
- Collaborate effectively with nurses and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Adapt to floating between units within the same facility as required
- Uphold professional, ethical, and quality care standards at all times
