About The Position

Are you passionate about providing compassionate care to patients in need? Holisticare Hospice is currently seeking a Full-Time Compassionate Hospice Aide (CNA) to join our dedicated team providing patient care in and around the Allentown Area! As a Hospice Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with Holisticare Hospice, you will play a vital role in the lives of our patients, working under the guidance of a registered nurse to provide essential services and ensure their comfort and well-being. Your observant and caring nature will be instrumental in maintaining the quality, continuity, and safety of our patients' care. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
  • Holds current unencumbered certificate in the state working as a C.N.A.
  • Minimum one (1) year experience as a C.N.A. in an acute care or long term care setting.
  • Hospice experience is a plus.
  • Possess and maintains current CPR certification if state-mandated.

Responsibilities

  • Follow the carefully crafted plan of care to ensure the comfort and well-being of our patients.
  • Attend promptly to the requests of patients and their family/caregiver, offering compassionate and unwavering support.
  • Support patients with various personal care needs, including bathing, oral hygiene, changing bedding, clothing, and shampooing.
  • Emphasize exceptional customer service, going above and beyond to ensure optimal patient satisfaction.
  • Impact patients' families by sharing your knowledge and expertise, guiding and supporting them in caring for their terminally ill loved ones.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in the patient's home and within our agency and regulatory standards.
