About The Position

Yoakum Community Hospital is seeking compassionate individuals like you to join our team on a PRN basis for both day and night shifts. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to support and adhere to our Nursing Service and administrative policies and procedures, provide top-notch patient care in accordance with established policies and procedures, advocate for individual patients and ensure they receive the highest level of care, and show respect, dignity, and maintain confidentiality when interacting with patients and their families.

Requirements

• Current certification as a Nursing Assistant in the State of Texas
• Genuine interest in the well-being of patients
• Current CPR certification

• Preferred previous experience in a similar role

Responsibilities

• Support and adhere to Nursing Service and administrative policies and procedures
• Provide top-notch patient care in accordance with established policies and procedures
• Advocate for individual patients and ensure they receive the highest level of care
• Show respect, dignity, and maintain confidentiality when interacting with patients and their families
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and fellow team members
• Efficiently utilize resources, equipment, and supplies
• Be open to temporary reassignments to different areas or work functions if necessary
• Ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines, rules, and regulations
• Remain composed under stress and effectively cope with challenging situations
• Accept delegated tasks within your scope of practice
• Respond promptly to patient needs using a calm and engaging approach
• Accurately document patient information in the appropriate records
• Actively participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
• Adhere to Yoakum Community Hospital's policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook
• Perform any other duties as assigned by your supervisor
