About The Position

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) position at Avamere Olympic Rehab involves providing essential personal care to residents in a skilled nursing setting. The role is per diem, offering various shifts, and the wage ranges from $22 to $30 per hour, depending on experience. The facility is located at 1000 S 5th Ave, Sequim, WA 98382. The CNA will be responsible for checking each resident routinely to ensure their personal care needs are met according to their wishes, reviewing patient care plans daily, and communicating necessary information to nursing staff. Additionally, the CNA will assist residents with daily needs, participate in facility surveys, and maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.

Requirements

  • Have a 10th grade education or above.
  • Be a licensed certified nursing assistant in this state.
  • Must speak, read, and write English fluently.
  • Must have an active CPR/BLS certification.

Responsibilities

  • Check each resident routinely to ensure that his/her personal care needs are being met in accordance with his/her wishes.
  • Review patient care plans daily to determine if changes in the resident's daily care routine have been made on the care plan, and communicate necessary resident information to charge nurses, director of nursing, and/or administrator.
  • Inform the nurse supervisor of any changes in the resident's condition so that appropriate information can be entered on the resident's care plan.
  • Assist residents with daily needs, including preparation for activity and social programs, and transporting residents to/from appointments.
  • Participate in facility surveys by authorized government agencies.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all resident care information in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
