About The Position

Maine Medical Center is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for the Outpatient IV Therapy unit in South Portland, ME. This full-time position offers a day shift schedule with no holidays or weekends required. The role involves supporting independent ambulatory patients and working with a team-oriented staff. The position includes responsibilities such as patient care, supply management, and maintaining regulatory logs. The typical work schedule consists of 36 hours per week, with flexibility in hours and days worked. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Current applicable state(s) license as a Certified Nursing Assistant required.
  • Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.
  • CNA experience of 0-6 months; on-the-job training provided.

Responsibilities

  • Provide patient care and nursing support, including taking weights and vital signs, offering blankets and refreshments, and cleaning infusion chairs between patients.
  • Monitor supply levels and order additional supplies as needed.
  • Maintain regulatory logs and checks of equipment such as AED and eye wash station.
