About The Position

About Us Azalea Home Care is a Unique provider of Non-Medical Private Duty Home Care Services. Our mission is to provide safe, efficient, caring, compassionate, and trustworthy caregivers to our clients that they can trust and rely upon to provide the best care possible today and in the future. This is a part-time position with full-time potential. The schedule is 5hrs 3pm-8pm 3 days during week and weekends 9am-2pm or 3PM-8PM.

Requirements

• Valid CNA Certification
• Wiling to submit to a background check
• Willing to provide at least three professional references
• Availability to work one of the following shifts: Monday- Friday 9a to 1p and every other weekend 9a to 1p, split shift hours such as 9a to1p and 5p to 8p, 12 hour shift with 3 on 4 off rotation schedule, PRN and PT for nurses looking to work on the weekends or shifts for nurses wanting to work additional short PM hours Monday- Friday.
• Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting, eager to improve and continuously learn new skills
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation every single day
• Validated ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner
• Available to work different shifts, including nights and/or weekends
• Prior experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care environment (minimum of 1 year)
• Willingness to enforce to health and safety standards
• Supportive and compassionate
• Take pride in providing high quality care

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly patients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries or accidents by attending to their basic needs, such as showering, bathing, dressing and eating.
• Help clients take prescribed medication and assist clients with ambulation
• Help with mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks etc.)
• Assist with personal care and hygiene, plan and prepare meals and help with physical therapy exercises.
• Complete client’s shopping or accompany them to successfully do so
• Perform housekeeping duties and report any unusual incidents
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
• Offer activities that are essential for daily living by assisting patients with their meals, including serving and other tasks, if necessary.
