About The Position

Gundersen Health System is seeking a part-time CNA for our Medical and Oncology Unit. Provide holistic care of oncology and hematology patients receiving chemotherapy or radiation therapy. The unit also cares for patients with acute and chronic medical problems that involve renal dialysis, gastroenterology, endocrinology, dermatology, medical pulmonary, infectious disease, and geriatrics. This position is a 0.6 FTE, requiring 48 hours bi-weekly with 12-hour rotating shifts during the day (6:30am – 7pm) and night (6:30pm – 7am). The role includes working every third weekend and three holidays a year.

Requirements

• Wisconsin Registered Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
• Current Infant-Adult Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic care to oncology and hematology patients.
• Assist patients receiving chemotherapy or radiation therapy.
• Care for patients with acute and chronic medical problems.
• Work 12-hour rotating shifts, including days and nights.
• Participate in weekend and holiday shifts as scheduled.
