About The Position

Dignity Health Rehabilitation Hospital in Henderson, Nevada is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for a full-time position. The role offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $18.93 to $24, with hours from 7am to 7pm, totaling 36 hours per week. The position includes competitive shift differentials for night and weekend shifts. As a nursing assistant, you will provide advanced treatment and comprehensive care to address the medical, physical, emotional, and vocational challenges faced by individuals with brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputations, and multiple traumas.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Nursing Assistant Certification required.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Requires hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant, or experience in a related field such as a medical assistant or as an actively enrolled nursing student.

Nice To Haves

• Extensive knowledge of basic nursing techniques and procedures.
• Knowledge of aseptic practices and cardio-pulmonary techniques.
• Nursing students may be considered as nurse assistants if approved by the State Practice Act.

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with nursing and therapy teams to assist patients in their rehabilitation process.
• Obtain vital signs and help patients with daily activities.
• Promptly answer call lights and report any issues or progress observed.
• Reinforce rehabilitation techniques as assigned by the therapy team.
