About The Position

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - ICU position at Corona Regional Medical Center is a full-time role focused on providing essential care to patients in the Intensive Care Unit. The CNA will assist in promoting, maintaining, and restoring the health of patients, ensuring their comfort and safety while documenting their care activities. This role is integral to the healthcare team, providing both physical and emotional support to patients and their families.

Requirements

• Current, valid Certified Nurse's Assistant certification or enrollment in an accredited Registered Nursing program with completion of the first clinical curriculum semester.
• Current BLS (CPR) Certificate through the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Six months of recent hospital experience in medical/surgical and/or psychiatric settings required.
• Assaultive Behavior Management training required within 90 days from date of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a hospital setting, particularly in ICU or similar environments.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including personal hygiene and mobility.
• Monitor and document vital signs and patient activities.
• Provide emotional support to patients and their families.
• Ensure a safe and comfortable environment for patients.
• Assist with the application of ice bags, K-Pads, and the use of incentive spirometers.
• Promote wellness and health education among patients.
